BRIEF HISTORY

Western Auctions Ltd, the leading provincial auction house,  was formed in 1928 by P A Wilde and is now run by his son Phillip M Wilde, who joined the firm in 1957.

Director and Chief Describer is Nick Stone, an acknowledged expert, who has been with the firm 35 years, and with the 30 year's experience of David Perris, we have a formidable front line up.

Our byword is accuracy of describing.  We always stand by our catalogue descriptions and pride ourselves on our personal service.

We are members of the PTS, IPTA and APS, and are also approved auctioneers.

Office Location

Cardiff

We are located in Bank House, 225 City Road, Cardiff, which is easily accessible from the M4 Junction 32 and Cathays Railway Station.

Sales Venue

The Ramada Plaza Hotel, Bristol

Bristol is the principal city of the West of England with good rail links, an airport and good motorway connections to London (2 hours), the Midlands, South West and South Wales.

Viewing
Two weeks prior to the Sale, Monday to Thursday in our offices between 9.30am to 12 noon and 1.00pm to 5.30pm
Day of Sale at the venue from 10.00am to 1.30pm
Photocopying or scans by Email of individual items available.
Through the post for lots of suitable size prior to the viewing days.
Please note due to sheer bulk of sales, serious buyers are advised to view in our offices as there is no guarantee that time will permit full viewing on day of sale.
