| Special Conditions of Sale | |
| VIEWING | On the preceding week of the sale between 9.30am and 12.00noon and 1.00pm and 5.30pm; Monday to Thursday; and on Day of Auction from 10.00am to 1.30pm. Viewing outside these times is only by prior arrangement with the Auctioneers. |
| COMMISSION BIDS | Bids may be left with the Auctioneers for which forms are provided. ALL BIDS ARE TREATED IN THE STRICTEST CONFIDENCE. Lots will be bought as cheaply as is allowed by other bids and reserves. Successful bidders will be advised by telephone the day after the Auction. |
| BIDDING RATE | We aim to sell between 250 and 400 lots per hour. |
| V.A.T. | Any lots preceded with a T are being sold on behalf of vendors who are Overseas or registered for Value Added Tax, i.e. V.A.T. at the current rate will be added to the hammer price.. This applies to E.E.C. and UK clients only. |
| BUYERS PREMIUM | All lots are subject to a buyers premium of 16% on the hammer price plus a handling charge of £2.50 per lot. |
| PRICES | The estimates provided are the
approximate prices we expect to be realised. They are not definitive. All prices are in Pounds Sterling (£pp). Starting prices in the room will be at reserve, estimate, one bid over second highest postal or Email bid, or at a considered fair price by the Auctioneer. |
| EXTENSIONS | Extensions must be cleared in 60days, BPF or RPS are the traditional committees accepted by us. Any other expert body must be agreed by us before submitting. All extensions must be cleared with the Auctioneers before the Auction. |
| PAYMENT | Payment by cash is preferred. Debit and Credit Cards are accepted (Visa, MasterCard, Access and Eurocard), and a charge of 2% will be added for payment by Credit Card. This charge is added to tour invoice total, including handling charges, postage and packing and any other charges. As authorised by "The Credit Cards (Price Discrimination) Order 1990". Cheques will only be accepted if presented with a valid cheque card or if prior arrangements have been made with our Accounts Department. No goods will be released until cheques have been cleared. To avoid delay please make arrangements prior to commencement of the Auction. Interest at 1.5% for the first month and 2% per month for following months is charged on all Auction Accounts if payment is not made within 7 days of the date of sale (Overseas buyers within 7 days of receipt of invoice or Material). |
| COLLECTION | All lots must be paid for prior to collection or delivery unless prior arrangements have been made with the Auctioneers. |
| ROOM BIDDING | A card bidding system will be in operation for this Auction and a number allocated during the Auction, when you make your first sucessful bid.. |
